I've been thinking these for a quite somewhile now, feel free to post additions and suggestions. The Clans aren't playing against eachothers like normally. Clans play maps in turns, Clan A plays bb_heavengate, then Clan B. Map switches and first Clan A plays, then Clan B. The total amount of BB's (scores) will be calculated and which one gets a higher total score, wins. (Yes I know it takes time, but got a better idea?) Round time will be between 10 and 15 minutes, this must be decided BEFORE the match begins. Both Clans must play the same time. Maps will be official (slaywatch, heavensgate, carnage) but if really needed. also custom maps will be possible to play. ----- Scores are measured in BB's, 1 kill equals 1 BB. Every level gained means 2 BB's. Every death times ten will be reduced from the total BB in the end. Making the missions (Get case, handle fred, escape) will get your Clan 100 more BB's in the total BB, BUT ESCAPING BEFORE THE TIMELIMIT ENDS WILL CAUSE THE ROUND TO END, SO I ADVISE YOU WILL ESCAPE JUST BEFORE THE TIMELIMIT ENDS Example: I have 75 kills, 4 deaths and my level is 29 75-(4*10)+(29*2)=93 BB's every member's bb's added up, then: score*10/time in seconds. so every member had 100 BB's, 5 man team, 500 BB's. they finnished in 5 minutes. 500 * 10 = 5000 / 300 = 16.7 BB's. that would limit the high number of BB's that will be the final score (never saw a 200+ cs score) and would still have a significant effect on the score. scores are rounded to 1 decimal. I hope you guys like the idea Rules copyright 2004-2005 TheSecondOne and TSS |

Wow, cheers for the great ideas mate. I hope other clans read this topic and post their suggestions how to get matching better. - Cheers |

i think, you need to take the timelimit into account. escaping fast is a feat in itself. so count in the time left as extra score or something. otherwise, great idea indeed |

Mate, I already thought about it.. If a quick escape gives you a shitload of points, all the rounds will just turn into a fast escapes and so you can wipe your ass with the 15minute timelimit if everybody plays the map through in 20 seconds |
Posted by: TSS December 20, 2004 11:36 pm |
that depends. it shouldnt give too much points but not too little either. then clans need to think when the perfect time would be to escape with the kills ya have. if going within a minute gives you 50 points, and going within 3 gives ya 40, but, you can kill 20 more zombies in that time, people will stay the 3 minutes. its all about balance. and these scoring systems arent made in 5 minutes alone, i cant finish the game within 10 minutes. sometimes not at all. and im not a bad shot so it wont end within 20 seconds. |

I would have my clan play... but I shut the clan down. |

Yeah well TSS, add me to your msn (jekku666@hotmail.com) and we'll discuss about this thing, maybe we can make working rules for the scoresystem |

Will there be some sort of official "BB Match Server" for this purpose? Because many servers have differant settings .. you should come up with a server.cfg file that the match server can use to standardize its settings ..

Deffendtly would work. Though out right competion with both teams on the sever is something that couldn't be beat. Your idea has its advantages though, mainly becuse BB can only truely sustain 8 players. |

You could use a multiplicator for the leftover time bonus instead of awarding extra points. So if one clan would end the round at exactly 16min and the other at 8min the first clans score would be multiplied with 1 and the second clans score with 2, because they only had half the time to score. The formula is simple: (score)*(Round Limit/time used) For example: 1st clan: 120*(16min/13min)= 148 (rounded up) 2nd clan: 86*(16min/7min)= 197 |

how about combining 2 systems? Example: I have 75 kills, 4 deaths and my level is 29 75-(4*10)+(29*2)=93 BB's every member's bb's added up, then: score*10/time in seconds. so every member had 100 BB's, 5 man team, 500 BB's. they finnished in 5 minutes. 500 * 10 = 5000 / 300 = 16.7 BB's. that would limit the high number of BB's that will be the final score (never saw a 200+ cs score) and would still have a significant effect on the score. scores are rounded to 1 decimal. |

And with my updated StatsCreator coming out, you can keep track of which clanners have the highest levels. SO maybe do something like add up the total exp for all clan members in teh top ten. Highest Clan score wins. |

ot:Lol what language is that? ontopic: Ok but theres no fkn way i can calculate that i'm dumb lol. I'l let u do the maths while i shoot zombies. (Gd idea tho ) |

Maybe I should sign my clan up now. How many players from the clan do we need? |

the fun in a clanmatch is provided through the fact that you batte other humans in an organized way, without that direct confrontation clanmatches wouldnt be that much fun...

Either is fun. |

lvls and objectives dont count, those are skills and just objectives __________________________________ so why dont just count kills and deaths like clan a got 500 deaths and 20 kills and clan b got 600 deaths and 140 kills (just an example) 500 - 20 = 480 600 - 140 = 460 so clan a wins. __________________________________ K, but what if its tie -> then they play the map again ( time 3 min ) (the last map that was played ) |
