Wow. I joined these forums back in late 2004 when I was.. 11 years old I guess. And lying to everybody about my age  I just spent the last 30 minutes to an hour looking at all my old topics in Offtopic and wow I have matured alot. I went back and was cracking up at how ignorant some of the stuff I said was. But I guess that's just something that comes with age huh? In a way, you guys have been a big part of my transition from an annoying little turd to an annoying, 5'8" 170 pound 15 year old turd. So thanks.  |

| I went through the same process on another forum, well a few anyways. According to this, I joined in 06, which I was 16 at the time. Currently 20, I loved and lost, and can only assume I've matured since lol. |

| I joined when I was 12, roughly 4'11" and weighed roughly 4 stone. Now I'm 18, 5'6" and 8 stone. I was mostly on and off for the past 3 and a half years or so but I've enjoyed coming here and reading stuff. Those last 3 and a half years have mostly been spent playing Freelancer. |

I remember playing the campaign of freelancer, but then it broke at some point and time half way through. =( I didn't have any idea what to do for online play though. |

lmfao I spent a year being completely crap and about 2 and a half years or so being given abuse. I'm now one of the best gunners of my skill range and best battle tacticians on 2 different servers. Oh and apparently I'm a terrorist hacker on some other server. They banned me after I deleted some stuff - I pretty much went to town on some noob clan that had been around for about 7 years or so and people started running whenever they saw me. ^^ Times changed and I only play for about 3 hours a week or so. :/ |

| Man, I miss the good ole days, when these forums were bustling with activity. I was writing stories, BB got patched semiregularly... And of course, the other facet of it was maturing. Learning more stuff, becoming reflected, getting different kinds of friends, finally growing hairs in my face (not yet a beard, but I try). For a long time this place was one of the more important things in my day to day routine, and you guys all shaped whatever I have become. So it's your fault i ended up like this! I try to stop by from time to time, but it just never reaches that old feel. So Gordon, Isit, Neiko, MrMicky, David, Equalizer, Keyes, Hunter, Redfield (and the ones I forget) thanks for the old times. Aw man, this sounds like a suicide letter or at the very least a goodbye one. It's not, I will still lurk and post biannually. |

| I feel like i'm growing up, i'm 19; just handed in my Army questionaire forms and start my physical training ASAP. Starting to think of the days when I could play WoW for 16hours straight and think nothing of it. Makes me chuckle (in a good way). |

| One thing thing I feel we haven't brought up here is the fact that, while we've grown with this site, we're still here - not that we're always stopping by, but that the site's still here. I don't know if the IronOak team is still together (in some form, at least - I know Lord Scottish shipped out after a job opening someplace) but this place is still open for business, we're still able to post (and lurk, like many still do, I'm sure) and I see Zpin drops in from time to time. This is the only forum I still check over my years growing up (all the others turned into ghost towns) and while I'm not a regular poster, I'm still very much here So, Zpin, I salute you And the rest of you who are still here - and the lurkers, can't forget 'em. You're awesome folk - and when BB:S comes to our screens, I'll happily shoot zombies with y'all EDIT: Damn, that sounded corny as hell... |

It may have sounded corny, but it was the truth =p And it's funny, because it was only a year or so ago when I could play games all day all week and think nothing of it. But just the other day I was playing a game, and then I realized I'd rather work tomorrow (today) than have the day off just playing games. Oh well, gotta wait till thursday to work =p |

Hahahaha we're growing up  I remember those days when I was an angsty kid who cared about nobody's consciousness -- sign of my younger days (that I'm probably locking up right now, not talking to... urgh, my psychology class is making me talk like this!). That's the only thing that makes me worry about this site.... me seeing my older posts when I was careless. We were all crazy folk when we were younger, haha. I wonder how long this'll keep up? BB:S getting created, then over-taking this forum, then creating new bustling activity, then a flood of new members show up and create new shennanigans(sp), then our older threads will be archived for them to see, then a few of us leave after not being able to take all the new members, then cars will be flying, then a second activity drought will occur, then new veterans will be created, etc. etc. etc. I'd probably be over-taking the site bandwidth by then. Hahahahahahahaha A man can only visualize. |
