I've been getting a ton of popups lately, telling me that my copmuter may be infected and that I should visit winfixer dot com for downloading help. Problem is, I never downloaded anything. Still, when I clicked on the x in the corner, it downloaded it anyway. Now I receve the popup much more often, and my antivirus said I had gotten a virus. The winfixer. It's embedded into the system in such a way that it has to be deleted manually. I downloaded a program called xoftspy exe to get rid of it easier, but... I'm having doubts about that program. It found tons of cookies and trackers my other programs didn't ,in a tenth of the time. Maybe it's a virus as well. Crap, maybe I'll have to clean my pc up completely. FUCK. xsoftspy is malware. When wikipedia and about 20 other pages said it was good I got it. But it won't get deleted, oh no. |

The programs I use to track and delete cookies, viruses, and all that other crap is - Ad-Aware SE Personal, CCleaner, and Microsoft AntiSpyware. Try those programs if everything else fails. |
