Thanks for the heads-up, though if somebody is stupid enough to send out their username and password in a chat box they don't deserve a steam account ^^

Aye, thanks for the heads up.

I will be the first to admit it though,
I almost gave into it, but then a friend of mine said, "WTH are you doing, hes going to take your account if you do."
Then I snaped out of the lie so he almost had me, And I'm usually never one to fall into thes traps, but it looked almost offical.
Mabey it was because I got the message so late last night, and was half asleep.

The message is gray and it's always in your messenger when you open it... do take the word for it and don't let anyone know your username/password.

This had been reported before, but this was a long time ago in these forums. So, thanks again for your heads up sir Wesker.

Valve has made a statement that they would NEVER, under no circumstances, ask for your username or password.

Unfortunately, this was never passed around well enough, so not many know this. Thanks for the heads up for this though.

Well it comes up in messages from time to time. It would be a real bummer if you got that reminder right after you'd pressed "send" tongue.gif

Old, but thoughtful

Also i believe the chat boxes say "Valve will never ask you for your password"
