NO! those prices are WAY too high for those parts. Where the hell are you buying from? Wejackprices.com?

Also, best bang for your buck is an AMD phenom 3.0 ghrz hexacore. Mobos are way cheaper too.

Have to agree. Majority of that is overpriced, and even then it's expensive. I do most of my online shopping at http://www.newegg.com. Although I do check http://www.tigerdirect.com. Personal note though, I prefer intel > amd. =3

These stores are assuming you know some tech knowledge and are putting the machine together yourself/have someone else do it. I really like how newegg shows their items on their site though. Tons of pics and all the gritty information about the items.

In that picture you have though, it looks like you don't have a case or power supply either. Unless the power supply comes with the vid card/cpu, those are pricey. Rather, it's all pricey, either way. You're still missing a power supply and case, and you're going to need a powerful power supply to power all that.

edit- let's look at prices
Your prices are awkward. You are on a Norwegian site I believe, so because of this I looked up their currency, the Norwegian Krone. Google states one US dollar turns into 5.3795 Norwegian krones, and 1 krone turns into 0.1859 of a dollar.

Your CPU - Your site, a grand total of 1,629. I don't know what the prices are in, but if dollars, that's a lot, if in krones it's still expensive. In US dollars, I found the same cpu on newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115073. It's price is a grand total of $209.99, or 1129.6405 krones. Much cheaper Not only that, but I'd consider if you're getting the i5-2500, you should consider the i5-2500k. It's exactly the same, but it's not locked at it's max speed. You can overlock it better, and intel powerboost can use it better. And the price is only like, 10 bucks more? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115072 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7073161&CatId=6988

Sites = Dollars - Krones

Mobo price comparison for "MSI P67A-G45 (B3)"
Your site = 193.8069 - 1049.00
Newegg = 139.99 - 757.7103 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130582
Tigerdirect = 156.99 - 849.7245 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7331583

CPU price comparison for "i5-2500" (I still consider getting the i5-2500k instead for 10 bucks more)
Your site = 302.8164 - 1629
Newegg = 209.99 - 1129.6405 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115073
Tigerdirect = 209.99 - 1129.6405 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7073162&CatId=6988

GPU price comparison for "ZOTAC ZT-50302-10M GeForce GTX 560 Ti (Fermi) 1GB" (With those prices I'm assuming you want to highest level one)
Your site = 267.8933 - 1450
Newegg = 269.99 - 1461.3486 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500196
TigerDirect = 287.99 - 1558.7755 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=575938

Although those prices are for the highest end, for zotac. The mid price one is
Newegg = 259.99 - 1407.2226 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500190 (There is also a 20 dollar mail in rebate on it. Which is 108.2521 Krones)
Tigerdirect = 282.99 - 1531.7124 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7210546

And the low end of the GPU (Which is still high lol)
Newegg = 239.99 - 1298.9705 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500197 (This one has a 30 dollar mail in rebate, or 162.3781 krones)
TigerDirect = 229.99 - 1244.8445 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7297823 (This one also has a 30 dollar mail in rebate, or 162.3781 krones)

I haven't heard anything bad about Zotac, but I personally LOVE EvGA and ASUS for my hardware choices.

Hard Drive price comparison for "Western Digital Caviar Green WD10EARS 1TB" (without more info, I have to assume it is this one)
Your site = 419 - 77.4119
Newegg = 54.99 - 297.6390 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136490
TigerDirect = 54.99 - 297.6390 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=5659779&CatId=2459

RAM price comparison for "CORSAIR DOMINATOR 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600"
Your site = 158.7037 - 859
Newegg = 102.99 - 557.4440 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145313
TigerDirect = 139.70 - 756.1406 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6453116&CatId=4527

Keep in mind, these aren't the only items you can buy, but you need to make sure anything you buy is compatible with all your other hardware. Slots, basic compatibility, power usage, etc.
This updated list also doesn't put the computer together (but those prices are pretty redic just to put it together for you), and it doesn't have a case or power supply. Which you're going to need a pretty good power supply to give out enough power for all this and for future upgrades.

I thought about wondering if they shipped to norway, but I don't see why newegg wouldn't. They're pretty big. But there is a large price difference between buying the parts and buying a pre-made one from some place with these specific parts. Unless the shipping is horrendous (I wouldn't know and don't know where to look off the bat for prices on things like that =/)

You can make a relativly cheap Gaming rig now.

Don't skip out on some bits of hardware being high quality though like PSU for e.g. otherwise you risk alot.

Posted by: gordon_frohman August 31, 2011 08:40 pm
I decided that when i upgraded I would keep my chasis and the PSU.
But do i actually have to upgrade the PSU if i upgrade the rest, you know socket wise and all ?
the PSU is around about 950W so I dont think Wattage would be a problem

Posted by: mallic September 01, 2011 12:59 am
If you don't run sli or crossfire with multiple cards, that should do just fine.

Posted by: Neiko September 01, 2011 04:46 am
950 should be plenty. I'm still running on 650 watts, and I'm pretty much just skirting needing another one.
