Well, it would be ok to make a basic layout for maps, and then when we release the content, you could texture and finish it up

exactly, all bbs maps are for the most part are hl2dm maps... zombie entities and mission points are all entities that should be added in the final compile anyway.

But wont BBS have a custom SDK content?

No, making maps would not be useless. Just make the fucking layout, so that when we DO give you the custom content shit, you can finish the maps. At least this way you will have a head start.
Now that we have some new guys on the team, we will have a lot more custom content. |

but he is right, basically, what you are able to do is create layout and geometry, which if youre a mapper you'll know, is the first thing you do, texturing comes next, then lighting, then finally entities for stuff... so really, if you have a decent idea for a map, theres no reason why you can't get a headstart on making it. once we've got all the entities and stuff fully implemented and working on our versions, we'll push to do a release of the fgd and stuff so that you can add them all to your maps. all I'm saying really, is it would be nice if we had some decent usermade maps for when we finally release, as i often think some of the best maps come from people who are not on a team, but just do it for the joy of it. |

That is true, if you've ever played Zombie Master you'll know that there are tons of great custom maps from random people thats are used on alot of servers.
