I tryed to install BB when it finished installing theres an Error box pops up and it cant find the EXE or something i tryed downloading allmsot all the stuid links on the website and they all have that error what do i do?


Post the WORKING game if you want so i can accually play BB with out haveing to have the problem of redownloading all the stupid thing ( do i need to download all the links and put them in same folder?)

First of all, with all questions purtaining to this, the replied question will most always be , "Do you have STEAM?" If not, go to http://www.steampowered.com

If you do have STEAM, make sure you installed Brain Bread to this folder, C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\(this is where you put your email address at)\half-life\BrainBread

For the email part, this is what mine looks like
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\dylanp@cableone.net\half-life\BrainBread

But change my email to yours.

1) Which ones do you own? If ( a ) move onto question 3, If ( b ) and ( c ) move onto question 2.
a ) Half Life
b ) Half Life 2
c ) Half Life Source

2) I'm sorry but Brain Bread is a half life mod, and can only be installed with the old version of Half Life. Half Life Source is the ported version of HL to the source engine, which will not work with Brain Bread.

3) Try installing Half Life and try again, also remember to restart steam after installing any 3rd party mods.

Okay, so you have Half Life, Half Life: Blue Shift, and Opposing Forces installed...

1) By default the Brain Bread installation should detect the proper folders it should install itself in. Which would be something like the following.

c:\program files\steam\steamapps\<STEAM ACCOUNT>\half-life

2) Make sure you are downloading BrainBread v1.2 Windows Client FULL (90.9 MB), and not BrainBread v1.2 Windows Server FULL (104 MB).

3) Do not try to install into the following destination.
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<STEAM ACCOUNT>\half-life\brainbread\

Otherwise the installer will install BrainBread into another folder. Such as:
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<STEAM ACCOUNT>\half-life\brainbread\brainbread\

4) "<STEAM ACCOUNT>" is the account you created, which is normally the users' username. So what ever your username was that is the steam account.

The blacked out areas is where your account folder is. Its blacked out for a reason. Steam is most likely installed on your C :\> drive, or where ever you installed it.

Once again I will repeat this, if you have Half Life Source, BB WILL NOT WORK. Half Life Source IS NOT the same as Half Life, as they are two different game engines.

Half Life will need to be installed first before installing Brain Bread.

When installing BB, the installer should detect the correct folder.

And the final piece of advice, read to understand.

If you still have issues, may I suggest that you tell us what the errors are, in full detail. And any steps you taken.
