Copy all the files off the disk into a empty folder then install from there. The last bit was in the chopper right shooting the boss?

I tried that, it thinks its still installed on the HD but its not, when i try to install/reinstall it it cant find the install.log and whatever else it needs to peform those tasks so it crashes.

I'll try installing it on a different pc and then send it over to mine, that should work.

I only played the first part of that game. It was uber-realistic in the whole freezing-to-death aspect.

And jimmy - have you tried deleting it from the registry?

o' so many times, i even formatted my hard drive but i think the game was origionally installed on my other one that i cant format.

ive had this sort of problem for a while, its because i used to just delete the games from the hard drive instead of un installing them, the computer tsill thinks there there and i cannot get it to think other wise.

This really fucks things up with games that use the info the computer gives it and there fore wont let me install the game untill it has been uninstalled.

I have the same problem with GTA vice city, Driver, star wars: Phantom Manece and the thing.

But anyway, the thing was a kick ass game, my fave level was the one where you were trapped in a building and there were hundreds of head crab things comming in from all sides.
