This is a fake post...

Alright, for awhile now Keyes and I have been working "undercover" on a Brainbread Source Port! We are very close to a release, and it'd be cool if all you forum members beta tested this! Before you start worrying, Zpin okay'd the project. I'm allowed to call it BB: Source here, but if this mod is good enough to go public, the title shall be Brainfed.

I will be putting up some media for your eyes to behold before the weekend is out, so sit tight for a little bit! Now as for the beta testing, I'm making a list. Keyes will be sending out download links to all beta testers when the build is finished. Anyone who wants to beta test must post their names and email address.

I dont have an exact release date as of yet, but we'll probably get a Brainfed beta around the middle of January. We're really excited about this (maybe too excited).

Before you ask:

1- Is there a website or a forum for Brainfed?
2- When will the mod go public?
3- Are you releasing more information on the port?

Answers:

1- No, but Keyes will be designing a temporary website. As for the forums, I'm still looking for a good host.

2- If the beta gets good responses from both the Ironoak staff and you guys, we'll see...

3- When Keyes and I get some ingame snapshots of Brainfed, I'll inform you of more features when I show off the media.

On top of that, well... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

The best New Year's surprise yet! Keep us updated, I am like, whoa, sweet, yeah!

Well Keyes and I got some great New Years media and Brainfed info. to show off!

Brainfed (aka Brainbread Source) Info:

-Keyes created only one small map for BF beta. Its simply called "bf_beta1", and is only for this release. We've got a better line up (such as a recreation of Heaven's Gate) that will be featured in future versions.

-The weapons that you'll use wont stay entirely true to Brainbread's. You'll have a Desert Eagle, MP5, M4, and an Automatic Shotgun at your disposal. No melee weapons yet, but there will quite a few. (I could use some weapon model help Civilian )

-Zombie animations are a little similar to those of BB, I had to do them myself. One thing we almost perfectly ported was the particle system. Oh yes, the bloodspray will be there! Although I hate to break it to ya, but dont expect the zombie gibs soon. All zombies will only have one skin on them for now (again, Civilian you could skin some more lol).

-The BB skill system still has to be implemented. The character selection menu is also absent. I know these features are cool, but we dont have an expert coder to do the job.

Why don't you actually 'port' it to Source? Using brainbread's models?

And what weapon do you need?

Woohoo!! Now I have an excuse to buy HL:2.

I think Brainfed will do fine. It's a different kind of zombie game (in comparison to the other one), and I'm sure that once it arrives on Source, there will be a whole new section of players.

PS- This might sound like an odd thing to ask, but will the Source version be a little bit more challenging? I mean no insult to the original version
