ok..i instaled bb normaly..well..there where half-life is anyway.. i prees the shortcut and the game starts..ewerythings ok but when i start create game it loads the map..and..and..nothing..it puts me in the same place i was before...the game doesnt load..oh and how many maps should there be? i cinda see about 15..
EDIT:
oh and i cant play cs or vs or ts on the internet.. i have non-steam povered half life..it says invalid cd-key but theres no check box to enter it?

Anyway, to register your copy of Half Life with Steam, go into the main game menu of Steam. I'm not sure where but there is a button on the menu that says "Register Product". Click on that and you'll be able to input your CD key from the retail HL1, and then you'll be able to play it and its official mods for free. Brainbread should work after that as well.
