There should be a nice but simple hitting and blocking system when using melee weapons. For example:

Lets say you have a baseball bat.

Left click tap would be a swing, and holding down left click would make the player lift up the bat, and releasing the left click would let come smashing down on zombie brains.

Using right click would toggle block, which the player would use to parry zombie attacks. This should include swipes, but not bites.

Something like that would be a cool addition and make fighting with zombies a lot more interesting.

And if possible, the weapons should wear out and break eventually. May seem difficult, but you dont need to add in fancy animations.

i know another that would be cool like in smod how they have a kicking button you can push that maks you kick you could try to make some thing like it

The player should also be able to use his/her fists when they have no weapon.

speaking of his/her, bbs should have female player models and female npc zombie models too.

They should try some of the idea's of melee weapons from Land of the Dead 'Road to fiddlers green' There was a lot of weapon choices in that game. Except, it got pretty stupid when I found a golf club and a frying pan in a bathroom stall. Wonder what someone was doing with that frying pan in the bathroom...

Yes, the melee combat in Road to Fiddlers Green was cool. BBS though should feature blocking! That would be more useful.
