Most of the 'new' mods are gone (with the last attempt of BB:S) and the standard moderators (yours truly) can't get rid of the spam bots, only Zpin can. -------------------- |

On some forums, we can. Might ask Zpin if there summat he can do about it, but tbh, as long as no one clicks the links (which I'm pretty sure people are smart enough not to), there's no real harm being done. I'll edit out whatever the bot's saying in the mean time. -------------------- |

Having posts removed can be confusing in conversations. I agree that it's useful for bot spam but at least like this we know that there has been something here. If there is a persistent bot just report it to me and I'll ban it. You should also be able to ban using the warn system.
There have been much worse preiods in the past with multiple new bots a day. I have since added some more verification to the forums but of course you can never be safe and there are also manual spamers that will always come through. -------------------- The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. - Ecclesiastes IX. 11.

As far as I'm aware using the 'Warn' system to ban doesn't work. The warn system just reaches 100% and that's that.

Yeah, we found that out when Zombie Assassin was spamming the boards with inane topics, and various mods attempted to make him stop. -------------------- |

@Civvy: You can do, but you need to set it up to. You can also set it up so that you can warn people from 0% all the way to 100%.

Ok, banning via the warn system should be possible now.
