I have been really impressed when i v seen the screenshots on PHL.
but you should change the HORRIBLE texture used for neons, it's very chocking when u see the maps. PE_BLADERUNNER -> beautiful PE_TERRORBIRD ->beautiful PE_OSAKA -> beautiful, already seen PE_TITANIUM -> good, good PE_DARKSUN -> poor textures from half-life spotted VP_CYBERCON -> beautiful VP_ARMSTRONG -> good, good (maybe a bit empty) VP_COTTAGE-> antoher kind of map...beautiful public enemy is a mod i gonna wait for sure |

Poor Textures? Mate those textures fit the bill, being a Amateur Level Designer recently on the scene I have had interest in few mods, this seems to be better than Natural-Selection. I love NS but this just has the atmosphere of HL, UT and Quake all rolled into one with a few realism elements of today (Being the weapons). The maps are absolutely above average standar, in actual fact 'Superb'.

The Pics of DarkSun are really old and don´t fit the new DarkSun-Map. There´ll be new DarkSunPics in a few days. The scenario changed completly, only the name still is used for that map. Sorry for that. I´ll also finish my BladeRunnermap very soon. There´ll be also new pics of titanium. Those 4 pics aren´t really able to give a real view of this map. After finishing my mapprojects i´ll remake some maps of other mappers. I agree that while the maps look absolutely stunning, they could look even better if a neon light texture that is a little more friendly on the eyes was used. Maybe it's just a natural revolt against those particular textures after seeing them used so frequently (and horridly) in beginner maps, but regardless: Maybe a custom light texture which is a little more subtle on the color would be appropriate here.

Oh sorry. I read your post too fast monkeyget. Ok, i should change this texture. Personally i had´nt bad experiences with those kind of textures, but if you say that they´re overused... ok i´ll change them with the next big update.

Cool.
Though, I do feel the need to state that I love what the neon lights do to the ambience and overall mood of the levels. Basically what I think would work best here is a light texture that is a little more subtle, yet still holds that vibrant glow. If that makes any sense. Ken your everywhere arent you? First NS now PE. I think me and you are going to be comparing our maps alot in the future. Come to think of it, the neon texture can be a little hard on the eyes, the reason I dont notice much is because this mod reminds me alot of ut, and the lighting in PE looks like UT. Anyway this is kind of like "Unreal 5" lol. Keep up the work! Atleast we know that the models and maps are good! Cant wait to see them both ingame.

YUS! I believe these are some of the best maps done with the HL engine that I've seen to date. Especially if the r_speeds are really what they say I think once I'm done with a few other projects, I'll bust something out for this mod Just a tiny pic of my stuff :F
