Well Ive searched the forums, and Im a little confused. I run steam normally, create a game and launch, perfect nothing. I run steam offline, and when i try to create a game, it starts to load, then closes. From what I found in the forums, this seems to happened to a few people, and Im confused of the outcome.

From what I found from http://www.ironoak.ch/forums/index.php?sho...3075&hl=offline it would appear that you cannot play offline. If this is the case, why not? Unlike other mods, where with BOTS offline play is available, i am unable to run BB.

On the other hand, there are numerous posts which state that BB CAN be played offline, which seems to draw no error.

Thanks for any help, from the few minutes I played online, I think that BB is the best mod available atm, even topping the highly popular TS.

I am running Windows XP, 512MB ram, 1.7GHz Pentium M off a laptop.

P.S. I got BB today, and if I missed any post explaining this I appologise can you direct me to it, I just want to play BB and alot of the time, I am unable to be connected to the Internet.

First, Hi, and welcome to the forums.
Second, thank you. You actually are the first guy to ask for help on this forum in the right section, AFTER searching himself and writing in english.
Third, I'll try to get it working offline, there must be a way.

I could play it in offline mode...

All I did was install it, play it a few times on the internet, ectra...
and it worked fine for me offline.

And if the Closes / crashes...sound's like a hardware problem.

When I ran BB with console I came up with 2 errors, this is one, which occurred when I ran BB in offline mode, but with an internet connection, to see the effects.
It loaded the game and then crashed.

BUILD 3329 SERVER (0 CRC)
Server # 1
Loading faders from pe_faders.cfg... done
Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket(server was
unable to contact the authentication

The other error occurs in ofline mode with no internet connection.
Basically it said I could not access the steam verification server, same concept as above except it doesnt even get to load the game.

maxplayers cannot be changed while a server is running.
No masters loaded
Using default master
Could not establish connection to Steam servers.
VAC secure mode disabled.
STEAM validation rejected

Try uninstalled BB and re-installing...using a diffrent release(from another site)

Uninstalling HL, reinstalling HL.

Don't forget to make sure HL and BB are up to date...ports open..ectra.

Hope you dont spam. Lately new members do this alot. Well, cant blame them cause theyre new, but please, READ THE DATE FIRST.

Many seem to have a problem with BB. Fortunately, I've never had one to date.

Except my HD sounds and models for Half Life have stopped. They just disappeared. Now when I play mods like Sven Coop, all models and weapon sounds are back to regular crappy gayness. Someone help me!
